Specification
A small group of factory charge-hands needing to provide one to one training on the shop floor regarding new working practices to existing and new staff.
Solution
It was important to understand the environment in which this training
would take place and so the usual consultation included a tour of the shop
floor. Firstly the event included basic trainer skills. The group then designed
their own training materials to suit the working environment including examples
of products to be kept by the machines as a reference. Finally they explored
how the training would be integrated into the induction programme for new
employees and the outcomes monitored by the shift supervisors.
