Specification
A small organisation wanting to train a group of twenty one staff in assertiveness. All of the staff could be released for one day however it was going to be difficult to cover all of the material in the time available and the size of the group would compound the problem.
Solution
In order to maximise the effectiveness of the event a workbook was designed
and issued to each participant for completion prior to the event. Although
it was self explanatory support was provided by phone and email. The result
was that everyone arrived with a basic understanding and the time on the
event was spent in discussion and practicing the skills. Feedback from the
group also identified that having completed the workbook participants felt
more confident about attending the event.
